Solid hardwood frame underneath, dense foam cushions on top, fabric pulled and stitched by hand. Seams are double-stitched on stress lines, single on the show face. Doesn't creak when two people drop into it at once. Lives in the same spot for a decade. It sets the tone for the room. Then it disappears.
